Welcome to the ACCCCS!

The Association for the Coordination of Counseling Center Clinical Services (ACCCCS) was formed in November, 1996, when a group of clinical services coordinators and clinical services directors representing colleges and universities from around the country met at The Ohio State University to discuss common interests and concerns.

Membership in the association is open to any staff member in a 2-year or 4-year college or university counseling center who is directly responsible for coordinating the clinical service aspect of the agency’s services, including the day-to-day coordination and implementation of those clinical services.  Although most centers have one person in this role, some centers have two persons who share the responsibility of overseeing clinical services; each is eligible for membership and each pays the membership fee.  Our 200+ members hold a variety of titles including associate director, assistant director, clinical coordinator, staff clinician, and a few are directors of small centers.  Our aim is to be welcoming and inclusive to all persons in college and university counseling centers with responsibility for the coordination of clinical services.

Annual Conference

Dear ACCCCS Members,

With a heavy heart, on behalf of the ACCCCS leadership, I am announcing our decision to cancel the 2020 Annual Meeting that was scheduled for May 18-21 in South Beach, Miami, Florida. This decision was not made lightly. We know how much our "reunion" means to all of us. However, with concerns about the continued spread of COVID-19, its designation as a global pandemic, and the many recent federal, state, and university restrictions on mass gatherings and travel, it seems that the situation has gotten to a point where it would be impossible for us to hold our annual meeting.

We also want to recognize the critical role our members play in attending to the needs of students as well as the variety of creative efforts we are developing and implementing as we adapt our services and service delivery to the demands of the current situation. We are needed on our campuses and in our counseling centers right now. The support, insight, and knowledge being shared on our listserv to help us all in our work is uplifting and inspiring.

Soon we will begin planning for our 2021 meeting and the celebration of our 25th anniversary!  We'll share information as soon as its available.  I think we'll all benefit from something to look forward to.

We are asking your patience in the matter of conference registration fee refunds. Kara Cattani, our treasurer, like you, is deep into handling work demands. We'll endeavor to get the process rolling as soon as we can.

Sincerely, Jim Dolan, President
